Oh I love Merry and Frost they are such a complementary couple. I love the way you did Frosts hair it came out as perfection! My boyfriend just downloaded the Correl program do you like it? Frost!!! I have to admit, my favorite is Darkness (Doyle), but this is the best artwork of any of the characters and is, therefore, my favourite regardless of characters. You did a marvelous job on his hair, too. It must have taken a small eternity, ne? It's lovely.

Y'know, I tried reading Guilty Pleasures, and it seemed so hard to get into, and then somebody told me that the first couple of books weren't even close to as good as the rest of the series was. Which book do you rec that I start out on? I wanna get in to the AB fandom, b/c I've gotten ALOT of requests for Jean-Claude fanart...

i think a lot of ppl say it doesn't get "good" until a few books in. I didnt know how many books were in it at first and i accidently started at #10 "Narcissus in Chains" .. then i went and bought all of the paperbacks. I do recommend starting at book 1 "Guilty Pleasures" only because it flows better if you start at number one. Without giving much away, she starts out being all "im an animator. woo. vampires are evil" ..and gradually things happen, you meet characters and she finds out things a long the way -- if you start farther in, you miss a bit and you're all "whoa. wait.. whats THAT about?" .. how far into GP did you get?? because i think after a bit -- when you finally meet Jean-Claude... its just. hot. and the ending rawks! lets just say.. REALLY OLD VAMPIRE. WERERATS and WEEE!!!

It's from Laurell K. Hamilton's Merry Gentry Series. The first book of the four that's out ( the 5th is out next month) is called "A Kiss of Shadows". And it is amazing!

Naw, the Merry series is about the fey, or fairy courts. Merry is a fey princess, the Princess of Flesh and Blood and she ends up with a harem of gorgeous fey warriors trying to knock her up as per order of the Queen of Air and Darkness, Andais. Frost just happens to be one of those warriors.
Now the Anita Blake series is about a vampire hunter. Both series are by Laurell K. Hamilton. She kicks major ass!

The series is awesome, although I'm getting a little...eh about it. I enjoyed reading book 3, but then she starts sleeping with even more men, and I know I won't be able to keep them all straight.

Thank you sweetie! In the book, Frost's hair is described as being like Christmas tree tinsel, but really soft, so I tried to makes his hair super shiny (but really it just came out all glow-y )
