Am I correct in assuming the full moon is the August full moon, aka the Sturgeon Moon?

Whoooaaa your work is so awesome. This is absolutely stunning. What tools did you use to make this?

Thank you so much! I still love this illustration. I'm sorry for how long it's taken for me to respond- I rarely use DA anymore. This was done with watercolors for the scenery, Copic markers for the characters, white acrylic for the stars and highlights. The paper is Hot Pressed watercolor paper by Arches.

Whoa, this is incredible! 0v0 Everything from the composition, to the color, to the concept is exemplary! Love the scenery in this picture, too- I actually live in an area where there's tons of riversides and lakes that look like this, albeit minus the cool like monsters and mermaids, of course.

Aww thank you! I always appreciate it when you leave comments on my artwork.
The background is based on a reference of the Columbia River on the Washington-Oregon border

Aww, you are most welcome! Always glad to spread the art love, and your art is always so amazing! ^v^ Ah, and that's awesome! I always spend a week around the Washington-Oregon area in the summer, and I'm pretty sure I've passed the Columbia river a couple of times on my way over. I can totally see where the inspiration came from in those regards.
