I wanted to draw something intimate (:
I realized I hadn't drawn anything purely Royai in a while, and I thought that was a major problem, so I doodled this
I also love the Winter. I can't decide if Winter or Autumn is my favorite... One things I love about Winter though is Winter clothing!
It's too early for me to be drawing Winter themed pics
Gotta start brainstorming something for Halloween...Oh, and I'm going to color this, but something feels a little off about this sketch that I can't put my finger on. I thought maybe I could get some feedback? Sometimes I find my own errors too late, so I thought maybe if someone could find it before I color it (and inevitably find it once it's finished
) I can fix it before I start inking it. Enjoy!

This is just beautiful! It's so soft and intimate. Their faces just kill me. The way they hold each other is so comforting. And the background and the snow around them really adds to it too. I don't even care that it's not winter yet. This is just awesome.
This could be a personal favorite of mine. Amazing!

Ahh sorry I didn't comment on the line-art! I was feeling lazy when I saw it posted--sorry!
I hate the fall/winter seasons, personally, not that it has anything to do with your picture. On the other hand, though, I do love drawings based in these two seasons as they are very cozy/warm/fuzzy/etc.
I guess I'll go with mistakes/criticism first, to get it out of the way. Roy's left hand -- the fingers, anyway -- look a little off. Mostly just the one finger... The top most finger we see in the picture. I don't know that it's really wrong or off... I don't know, it looks better the longer I look at it though. Maybe you could explain why it looked off to me at first?
Uhm, the second thing is Roy's right sleeve... namely the shading on it, which isn't something you usually have problems with -- typically it looks really good, but the sleeve's coloring looks a little too far off to dismiss it as shading. I think that was the intention, though... unless his sleeve is multi-colored. Although multi-colored sounds like it's pink and green... not quite that bad, ha ha. Anyway, it's really the upper part of that sleeve though. The forearm's portion looks fine though.
As for things I liked about this... well, like I and no doubt dozens have said, it's a very warm and fuzzy picture. It just got cold recently, so this warms my heart if not my frozen/dripping nose (too much information?...).
My favorite part is the color-scheme. How the background is darker on Roy's side and lightens as it moves to the lower right-hand corner, closer to Riza. Working with that is their clothing colors: how Roy is wearing dark clothes and Riza is wearing white. The background and clothing working together like that looks really nice and adds to the depth of a typically simple piece.
Their facial expressions also make me wonder what's going on... what was going on in your mind while you were drawing this? Did you have any idea about what could've been going on to lead to this point? Any stories play out in your mind? Or is it just simple fluff that I'm looking too much into?
Either way, the drawing is absolutely lovely; as always, you draw your characters masterfully. Thanks for taking the time to draw this and share with us!

And I see what you mean about the sleeve. It looked a little odd to me when I finished it. I might fix it.
