Description The Galactic Empire is always testing new starships, starfighters, vehicles, and weapons.  Sometimes, these tests are quite hazardous, and the imperial top officers aren't always willing to risk their human test pilots.  This is where they use Hazardous Situation Test Pilots for these more dangerous tests.  Hazardous Situation Test Pilots are often prisoners who are forced to carry out these dangerous tests.  What isn't lost on most of the public is that these test pilots are always non-humans, and that the mortality rate among them is often as high as 99%.  Often the Empire uses these poor souls for the most dangerous tests until the prototypes are mostly perfected.  It is only then that the Empire uses human test pilots, and only for a showy flight test for the grand moffs who would approve the prototype for production.  The engineers and designers often make no mention of all the non-humans who were killed to perfect the prototype.

Some Grand Moffs often disposed of prisoners by turning them into Hazardous Situation Test Pilots.  These Grand Moffs would often give these prisoners safety gear that was actually non-functional mock ups.  Such Grand Moffs would invite their friends and make a sadistic spectacle of disposing of condemned prisoners.   It needn't be said that more than a few members of the Rebel Alliance have a personal vendetta against the Empire because they lost relatives this way...particularly among the non-human members of the Rebel Alliance.

I liked to think that after the battle of endor and the division the Empire, many grand moff and warlords started to use these test pilots as actual pilots in their army, an then eventual with the reuniting of the Imperial factions, they are still aliens in the Imperial navy.

I would agree.  After the Battle of Endor, it was apparent that the Imperial forces were in such disarray that many Imperial officers and politicians and warlords would have found themselves desperately short on pilots and soldiers.  No doubt these test pilots may have been shanghaied into being full pilots.

Hmm... I didn't actually notice that this was posted ... Looking at it now, there's only one change I'd make if possible... Would it be possible to replace the brown belt with an Imperial one? If not, it's fine.

A stormtrooper belt or a uniform belt?

Probably the uniform belt, sense tie pilots wore it as well? (Correct me if I'm wrong ...)

You're right, the TIE Pilots wear the uniform belt.  Inferno Squad (from Battlefront 2) wore the Stormtrooper belt in parts of that game, but they are special forces commandos, not TIE pilots.

Ah. Didn't play that one ... Did play the 2005 game though, still occasionally do.

Yeah.  In the newest Battlefront 2, there is a team of commandos that wear Tie Pilot uniforms, but with a stormtrooper belt.

Ah, alright.

And the updated belt looks good.

Finally got a moment to add the leg flares that piegeo190   asked me to add to these guys.  For those who are curious, the flares are also non-functional...keeping with the idea that some imperial grand moffs give these guys non-functional or mock-up safety equipment, just for a sadistic laugh.

Thanks.  piegeo190  told me about this concept, and I took it and turned it into yet another bit of cruelty the Empire inflicts on non-humans.  When I get to the "Galactic Civil War" Era in my fan fiction series, I may have a lot of non-humans who had relatives who were killed by the Empire because of this.
