Tallios Muxx was a young idealist who harshly criticized the Republic, despite the fact that his people, the Mon Calamari fervently supported the Republic. Far from able to convince his people to cede from the Republic, Tallios left his home world to join the Separatist Forces. Though he was a talented pilot, fighter pilots were not in high demand among the Separatists. Instead, they assigned him to fly shuttles and gunships. Organic soldiers were a rarity among the Separatist Forces, but Tallios was one of the pilots who ferried them into battle. It was not the exciting combat flying he craved, but at least he was in the fight in some way. His only real complaint was the fact that his Neimoidian squadron leader insisted that he wear a flotation vest. Tallios often argued that he was a member of an aquatic species, and could breath water. However, his superior officer prevailed in their infrequent arguments. So, Tallios endured wearing a flotation device. He was certainly glad to wear a parachute, as he did not fully trust the jetpacks that his squadron mates preferred to wear in the event they might have to bailout.
