Description Taj'Juula is a member of the rare and mysterious race, known as the Yautja.  Believed to be nomadic hunters, Taj'Juula was found as an infant among the wreckage of a crashed Yautja ship.  Discovered by Yoda, and found to be quite strong in the Force, he took her to the Jedi temple to train her in the ways of the Jedi Order.  Drawing on the single minded dedication inherent to her species, Taj'Juula trained day and night, often driving herself to the point of total exhaustion to learn the Jedi arts.  However, her heart ached to learn about her species.  With the aid of the Archives of the Jedi Temple, Taj'Juula learned everything she could about the Yautja.  She learned that they were hunters, and that they had a strict code of honor that dictated their every action.  Learning this, she developed her own strict code of honor, seamlessly merging the Jedi Philosophies with the Yautja code of honor.  Instead of hunting trophies, she hunted injustice.  She drove herself to use her inherent need to hunt into her purpose of upholding peace and justice in the Galaxy.  It was because of her research into her species that she learned of her people's preference for armor.  Thus she obtained a customized set of Mandalorian armor.  However, she crafted her own Yautja biomask and optical camouflage, using the Force to guide her hands in crafting the alien tech.  Preferring that to traditional robes, she became a unique Jedi.  Taj'Juula often struck at her enemies from the safe concealment of her optical camouflage, waiting till she reached the individual at the heart of any trouble.  Only THEN would she show her face.  Her methods are unorthodox, but effective.  The Jedi Council often sends her out for the most difficult and dangerous missions, knowing she is MORE than capable of accomplishing it.  She has yet to take a padawan, but not for lack of the Jedi Council requesting it.  When Order 66 was issued, Taj'Juula disappeared, and though she has yet to be seen, the Jedi Order knows she is still out there, like others of her species, she is notoriously difficult to kill.

This is my concept for a predator Jedi.  I figured since the Predators (Yautja) prefer to wear armor, Taj'Juula would more likely wear armor than traditional Jedi robes.  The reason she's wearing Mandalorian armor is because when I was making this image, I was going to make her a Predator Mandalorian, but decided to change her to a Jedi Knight.  For a lightsaber, I remembered that had created a double lightsaber design that I think he hadn't earmarked for any specific character, so I got his permission to use it for this character, and shrank it down to fit this picture.

This image was created using elements created by Zared-Tregonwell, with the lightsaber designed by .  I'm crediting Zared-Tregonwell for the Yautja and Mandalorian elements I used to create this character, even though his account is no longer active on DA.

I'm not sure I gave her a student yet.  Thus far, I think I've only had her pop up in the Arena Battle on Geonosis in Episode 2 of the Jedi Chronicles.  However, I'm sure I will eventually come up with a padawan for her to train...maybe another Yautja.

Sorry the Trandoshan padawan behind.  I thought that was her student.

No, she doesn't have a padawan yet...but that could easily change.

Rare and mysterious, because they aren't actually part of the Star Wars Universe.

The way I see it, if the Hunters were part of the Star Wars universe, they would be thought of (read misinterpreted) as being nomadic, because most of the denizens of the Star Wars universe will have only seen the nomadic clans.  I figure in the Star Wars universe, Yautja Prime is probably somewhere off the proverbial "beaten path", so people have rarely, if ever, seen it, and lived to tell about it.  And since few people have ever had an encounter with them that hasn't turned violent, it stands to reason that most people would see them as "rare" and "mysterious".  Rare, because they tend to move with stealth, to the point of ensuring that no one ever has any evidence of their presence.  Mysterious, because they aren't exactly forthcoming about information about themselves.  Even Taj'Juula would not really reveal too much about herself...especially since she grew up in the Jedi Order, having never really known her people.

well that's your universe... I guess
Mine is different...in my fan fiction not only a human has survived the encounter with yautjas but was also -adpoted- by a clan
But of course there was still a price to pay because that person will never be allowed to return among the other humans

Exactly.  If the Yautja exist in the Star Wars Universe, they would easily be a bit different than they are in other universes, just from their interactions with other species.

And I'm glad your portrayal of the Hunters is different.  It makes everything more interesting.  I figure there are lots of hunters, but people hardly ever have an encounter with them, and live to tell about it, and therefore those few who HAVE, mistakenly think there aren't many of them, and probably won't ever realize how wrong they are.

i wanted to show that yautjas arn't just ruthless killers without much emotions
it depends who have an encounter and in which circumstances

there are two good reason why the person from my fan fiction survived the encounter
first, she is a woman and its a well known fact that yautjas do not harm females
second the clan leader had a crush on her  and that's because this is according to my universe and how far a yautja male could get when it comes to express his emotions

I like it!  I wrote a Predator Fan Script in which there was a Yautja who was the hero of the story.  In that one, there was a Yautja who was branded a bad blood because he murdered another hunter, then ran away.  His clan sent three hunters to hunt him and put him down.  And in this script, the hero hunter befriended the human heroine.  I agree wholeheartedly that the Hunters should be portrayed as more than just ruthless killers with no heart.  That's one reason I did a Predator Jedi, and a Rebel Fighter Pilot Predator.  Both are orphaned from their Clan.  Taj'Juula was orphaned as a baby and raised by the Jedi.  Dragon's clan was exterminated by the Empire, and she joined the Rebel Alliance to seek revenge.  Darth Jager is the last survivor of his clan, but he was, for lack of a better term, "corrupted" into becoming a Sith Lord.

By the way, I could see a Yautja falling in love with a human woman.

If you like Predator Fan Fiction, you should check out my predator scripts.
