Description ... What if it WAS the chicken!?

From a scene in the movie MirrorMask. This is the greatest line, it gives me the Giggles EVERY time. It steals the show. Gosh, I wish I could load the scene so you could all see.

I really loved this movie, prepare for a huge dump of fan art from me, just inspiring. No one I know has seen this though strangely enough.

Oh my gosh, I LOVE this movie. Will you draw Valentine doing something funny?

Valentine is always doing something funny, he can be standing still and be funny. Will have to watch the movie again and get another bout of fandom.

Haha, I loved that line too. If only I could get someone else in my family to watch it! D:

I know how you feel, I nagged, threatened, blackmailed, and eventually just threw it on the DVD player and sticky-taped it in to get my mum and brother to watch it. Well... maybe slight exaggeration on the last little bit.

You could always try taping them to a chair... that could work.

Naw. My sister sat in the chair without being taped there, but after 5 minutes just went back to her computer. D: They just don't realise how awesome it is- how beautifully shot, scripted, performed, EVERYTHING!

Ah well...

Gosh, you can't judge a movie by the first five minutes. You have to at least hit the half hour mark for a serious impression. Maybe it's just a work of art that's going to go unnoticed until the director dies or something and then BAM everyone loves it and its all over the place.

Or we just have highly developed taste of movie.

Ralindir In reply to Katie-Grace [2008-08-08 08:54:04 +0000 UTC]

Well I'd like to think it's a bit of both- cos if it's just us having a highly developed taste in movies, then there's just gonna be a select group of fans for it. Everyone'll hopefully cotton on sooner or later.

There is only a select few of fans now. It better catch on. I just bought the movie so going to make all my mates suffer it now. Nicest torture I've ever thought of.

Hahah, good move. I'll try it myself...soon as I get some friends in this damn country. God I hate moving.... D: I know that, if I had found it in time, I would have been able to infect all my old friends! But noo...the irony gods hate meeeee....

I loved this movie and this line had me in stiches. I think though, that Valentine's "like a dark slippery thing" line, was my favorite.

Perhaps everything Valentine said and did was hilarious in that movie. ^_^ "Look! An idiot!" Got to love all the lines.

Katie-Grace In reply to WingedNyke [2008-08-03 23:50:25 +0000 UTC]

You can wear contacts? Oo, brave. ^_^ Wish I was brave enough to wear contacts. How do you take them off?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

WingedNyke In reply to Katie-Grace [2008-08-04 01:08:29 +0000 UTC]

I wear the soft contacts, so if you pinch them, very, VERY, lightly, they will come right off. I like wearing them, they're pretty comfy, but my brother (gosh, I talk about him alot...) can't wear 'em, they hurt his eyes for some unfathomable reason.

Today I realized that one of the junior guards I work with has one green eye and one blue eye! He's a cool kid.

And now, a duck.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Katie-Grace In reply to WingedNyke [2008-08-06 00:44:47 +0000 UTC]

Eerrg, you pinch your eyeballs to get them off...? Nope, the concept of getting contacts out is beyond me. (You got to love brothers. ) Your brother must sensitive eyes.

Ooo, odd eyes, that is adorable. Real or no?

And what a duck it is. Here, another duck.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

WingedNyke In reply to Katie-Grace [2008-08-06 04:08:48 +0000 UTC]

It doesn't hurt to take them off, you just rinse your hands in water first. my brother has pretty sensitive eyes, but he has (slightly) better eyesight than me. We're both pretty blind.

Oh they're real. They're pretty close in color, so it took me a while to notice.

Why thank you! One can never have to many ducks.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Katie-Grace In reply to WingedNyke [2008-08-08 01:48:34 +0000 UTC]

That's pretty cool though. Just something about slightly odd eyes. With your supposed lack of eye sight it's a wonder you saw it at all. Plus you don't notice eyes too much, I mean, unless they are unreal eyes.

No, no they can't. Perhaps you can have one too many cats... but ducks are better guard dogs. Or is that geese... no it was Llama's that made the best guard dogs.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

WingedNyke In reply to Katie-Grace [2008-08-08 07:12:41 +0000 UTC]

They are cool. I am blind, but with my contacts I have perfect vision, just no depth-perception. It doesn't bother me though, my eyes have learned to compensate. You're right, we don't notice eyes much, which is odd, because we're supposed to have eye-contact when we talk...

I like cats...did you know that there were cats bred(in I think parts of Asia) and trained to guard places? They were kept half starved so that they would not only attack, but eat intruders! The things one learns...

I like llamas...are there really guard llamas? that's cool!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Katie-Grace In reply to WingedNyke [2008-08-08 08:06:57 +0000 UTC]

Really? Gosh, even with my glasses I am still blind. (they have been getting worse. ) I know, even with the eye contact, eye colour just doesn't seem to register. Strange.

Really? That big wild cats or domestic cats? Cannot imagine a little cat doing that, but you never know. O.o

They are great guard dogs/llamas. Farmers have been using out west with problem dingos. Not only do they chase the dingo away but sometimes they hunt it. Savage little spitting fluffballs.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

WingedNyke In reply to Katie-Grace [2008-08-08 19:43:23 +0000 UTC]

I have ridiculusly powerful contacts. It IS rather odd, and I'm rather suprised I noticed..

Little cats, isn't that wild? I can't remember what breed they were, and they weren't guards so much as they were booby traps.

That's really cool, you'd never think llamas would make good gaurds, maybe goats...or an emu...haha, emu. XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Katie-Grace In reply to WingedNyke [2008-08-11 00:23:25 +0000 UTC]

Well, I can't imagine a rag doll cat being set as a booby trap for unsuspecting people. O.o Actually... trying to imagine it is a rather spooky thing. DEGASP! That would be terrifying. Never mind, evil starving rabid rag doll cats would be the ultimate booby trap.

Hahaa, emu's are pretty good at taking care of themselves, that dumb look they always have is just to lull you into a false sense of security.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

WingedNyke In reply to Katie-Grace [2008-08-11 03:28:15 +0000 UTC]

Oh they wern't DOLL cats, they were LIVE cats, but they were like piranahs. They ate you.

Those emu's, so diabolical. Them and ostiches.

Katie-Grace In reply to WingedNyke [2008-08-11 05:45:50 +0000 UTC]

Hahaa, ragdoll cats aren't doll cats. They are live cats --> [link] Can' imagine that eating you. Well, I can, but its the stuff of nightmares.

Eek, those strutting fluffy big birds... would like to try and ride one someday. That would be fun!

WingedNyke In reply to Katie-Grace [2008-08-11 08:21:03 +0000 UTC]
