Well, five cranes if you count little Hakuryu there. =]A THOUSAND CRANES WITH A THOUSAND BLESSINGS FOR KAZUYA MINEKURA
Kazuya Minekura (MY FAVOURITE ARTIST), the manga-ka who created Saiyuki (MY FAVOURITE MANGA. Although I don't really recommend the anime... The art quality seriously doesn't do the manga justice.), is very sick again and is going into surgery soon. (Why do bad things always happen to awesome people?) This is my contribution to a project to support her! According to a Japanese legend, folding a thousand paper cranes will make a person's wish come true. So let's all support Minekura-sensei and wish for her good health and recovery~

It's really exciting to see yourself improve! I wanted to try more dynamic skin shading, and this is my best yet.
Made with Prismacolor markers. Two of my markers ran out of ink on this picture, but it was completely worth it! I also broke another one in two while working on this. Hm.
I really, really love these characters. I swear they look good in any outfits you put on them.
Everyone, please pray for Minekura-sensei! She never ceases to amaze and inspire me.

This is BEAUTIFUL!! The coloring, and the details, everything is just wonderful! I can't tell you how much I adore this, and I'm so happy you were able to add this to such a wonderful project.

Getting your own set could be great for you! I totally love my markers. Although it took me about four years to realize this love... Seriously. My mom bought them for me in ninth grade. I'm only obsessed with them now. In college.

I just don't understand how markers are capable of such sweetness! I mean...I've been using crayola markers my entire life and they definitely can't shade skin and clothing!
