The last sketchdump went really well, so here's another batch of fanart sketches for Robin Hobb's books.
I told you there would be moar coming, and MOAR you shall receive! I'M SO NUTS FOR THESE BOOKS!

)From top to bottom, left to right:
King Verity, Fitz and Nighteyes (sketches for a painting in progress now), the Fool teasing Fitz by being pervy, Burrich, Vixen, Chade making tea, Disapproving Patience, young Fitz and the Fool ("FAT SUFFICES!" "wut?" "God you're such an idiot." ) Paragon, LOLord Golden (is the fucking Goblin King apparently), Amber, the Fool at Aslevjal, Molly on the beach, injured Fool, Fool being dramatic, prettyolderFool, Tom Badgerlock in particolor tights.
I suppose most of it won't make sense unless you read the books XD Oh well. LOL. I'm enjoying myself immensely~~~
Massive kudos to those of you that do these sketchdumps regularly.
They are a pain in the arse to make.All done in pencil.

i love these books to they are the best but i feel realy bad for fitz he alway gits psoisond of looked in a dungen at the end and the third one is the only one hes has a remotly happy ending. regle makes me so mad!!!

I absolutely love your style. And these books. I met Robin Hobb a few weeks ago and I nearly peed my pants. When I told her my name was Amber she was like, "That's my FAVOURITE NAME!" and I may have squee'd a bit.

You make me a fan all over again, and considering that I /just/ finished The Tawny Man, well... I'll have you to thank for encouraging my minor obsession with one slowly darkening prophet, now won't I?
King Verity: Yes, that's about what any sort of wasting looks like, exactly. I'd love to see the difference in color between his silver hands and his darker skin, but at the same time... no, already v. sad just as a sketch. Love Burrick's snarly sulk, and the Fool's snerk at teen!Fitz, as well as his proclamation to v. confused kid!Fitz. LOLord Golden is absolutely brilliant and hits the mark so perfect I lol'd. Fool on Aslevjal, he looks /pissed/, Molly only needs a splash of red and a whiff of ocean air and I'd think I was there, I still want to smash whoever hurt the Fool, still laugh over sweet and maybe not so teasing antics, and think long hair is a deadly weapon.
In summary, yes. Yes yes yes. I love you; you're evil. (And Tom in colorful tights.... that may need some color. You know. Just for. Um. Curiosity.)

Words do not express how happy I am to find your fanarts. D: There is so much bad fanart out there, and I certainly don't credit myself with enough talent to pull off what you have here. These are pretty much the characters straight from how I pictured them as I read! I LOVE IT.

You know what, you make me want to read those books. Haven't read a good fantasy book in a while.
Since it seems to be a series, do you have any hints as to which titles I should read first?

READ THEM. Yes, please do so, the more people I corrupt the better. The story is in three separate trilogies - The Farseer, The Liveship Traders, and The Tawny Man. (in that order) The Farseer and The Tawny Man are told from the perspective of the character Fitz. (who I love and adore at the same time I want to beat him) and The Liveship Traders are peripherally related, but as I am finding, important to the overarching storyline of the books.
I'm glad you like him <3 I think you'll really love the Fool. (who is biting his lip there) But then again he is hard to ever dislike because he's such an amazing character.

Well, The Farseer trilogy is about the character Fitz, who is a royal bastard, and his life and the politics of the land he lives in. I guess it's sort of just him growing up coping with what he was given in life, railing against his fate while at the same time making the best of it. Fitz is a character you want to hug and comfort and then beat over the head.
I'm terrible at summaries. Just read them!

I wonder if Robin Hobb is even interested in fanart. If I had written an extremely popular book, I would certainly be curious to know how other people imagine my characters.

I don't know how she feels about fanart, but I know she really despises fanfiction. I feel like I have read something before that said she didn't mind fanart because she can't draw

Yes, she has made it very clear that she hates fanfiction. At some point I understand her. But hey, what can we do if we love those characters so much and there's not enough to read?

Oooh, maybe I will ask her if she wants to share the alternate ending with me! What happens in it? I've composed my own in my head - several of them, actually, with different ideas behind them. Unfortunately I am the worst writer ever, so Lady Hobb should have no fear of fanfiction from me.

You should definitely ask her, I think she would be very happy to share it with you. Do you want some spoilers or would you rather read yourself? 
I enjoy writing, but I wouldn't want to compose my own ending for that story. It wouldn't be the same and I couldn't make the characters sound like themselves.
