The story of their meeting and the birth of their children actually link and it is nothing like this.Β When the evil witch Angrboda came and plagued Asgard, Loki and Odin stepped in. They caught her and burned her alive, but her heart remained and she resurrected herself though it. They tried to burn herΒ over and over againΒ but she would always come back. As they were growing desperate as it seemed they were faced with an un-killable enemy, Loki came up with a plan to kill her for good. The last time they burned her Loki snatched her heart from the ashes and devoured it. No heart=no Angrboda. But the dark magic in her heartΒ gave a side effect, Loki became impregnated with three children, Hel, Jormungand and Fenrir.Β Just to put the cherry on top,Β it was mentioned that this happened when Sigyn "had been disconnected from her husband". Imagine coming home to find you are the step-mom of three monsters
