Description (full size, is best)

Here's another view of the old International truck we found while driving on a new road...check out the vehicle in the background (scrap [link] ) - any ideas of what it was? I'm sorry to say I didn't get any good shots of it...too deep of shade...

here it is in color

Edit: A big THANK YOU goes to for this information:That truck in the background looks like what used to be called a "deuce and a half" or 21/2 ton truck that was extensively used by the US Military during WWII. Not sure of the manufacturer but suspect it was International, the same folks who helped make Jeep a commercial success after WWII.
Further investigation has found that it was manufactured by Studebaker.
And who called it a Half-track similar to the most popular used in WWII!

Ok, further investigation reveals I was partially correct...the truck is a deuce and a half, but manufactured by the Studebaker company, not International. I can now rest in peace.

well, since the vehicle in front is an International that would make a logical guess Thanks so much for doing the research I'll go update it

thanks! I was pleased with the b&w, too, although I didn't see it at first that way...I just went back to look at the swirls on the door and only now noticed - I think it says 'For Sale'! or am I reading something into it

Thanks, I like it too! I wasn't really trying to get both together (the shot I took of just the truck in back was so bad I deleated it first time through the pic!) but I liked the way they worked together in b&w...

the tracks are cool...maybe it was modified to work in fields or something - pushing through the mud

looks like those trucks that they put hay on but I only from Mexico they had trucks kinda like that with pill of hay on the back with out a real bed like other trucks or a campershell

I just put up a crop of the truck - what is different to me is it looks like it has tracks instead of tires in the back! here's the link to my scrap [link]
