...to prove to those of you who are watching me for my Shinigami pinup series that the project is still alive and well.
Will be scrapped very soon, I hope.With this one, I was trying to convey Gin's scheming and secretive nature - thus, his back is turned (and I happen to like backs, so it makes me happy that way, too), and he's hushing whoever's looking at him, like he's sharing (or keeping) a secret of some kind. And when Gin actually OPENS his eyes, it's both creepy as heck, and you know *something*'s up.
You know the drill - - - background ideas, people!!!
Gin is from Bleach and Belongs to Kubo Tite.

A dark background would be neat.. Maybe a wall of some sort, with night-like lighting?

That is so sexy! And it's only a sketch! I can't wait to see the real thing. And I agree; the background colors should be dark and mysterious. Purple would be a perfect color. By the way, I think you should make his eyes the color that they are in the manga, because they are really pretty!

Etto... Unfortunately, though it looks rather nice, Gin is supposed to be unusually thin and his arms... I don't think would be that thick.

A fox. A silver fox in the background with a deep color. cause his face is "fox-like" and his hair is silver. also he's lookin' sly like a fox right about now, so yeeah. think about it.

Gin is one of my favorite Bleach characters (not like I only have a few... there're too many people to like). ^^ And this is lovely! Can't wait to see it completed! ^^

While watching Bleach I tended to want to steer clear of Ichimaru. He was always so so evil and so so scary. But now you've made him sexy! D: (And I also happen to love backs) so you've had me staring at this for a looong time. I'm really enjoying his expression. Definately secretive, but there is seriously something so psychotic about it. xD I love it. Again, great work.
I'm going to agree with some of the other comments here already, purple is a good idea for the background, like dark purple. And like Enjyu-chan mentioned, something chaotic would fit really well. Because it's like...he looks so composed and calm, but whatever he's plotting, and his evilness would be well represented as chaotic in the background. I'm not sure exactly how you could do that. But I'm seeing scratchy lines/details that make up a bigger something/image. Wow, can I get any clearer? xD

Yes, I know what you mean about Ichimaru -- definitely a guy whose way you want to stay OUT of! But I figured he should be part of my pinup series, and I love backs too, so I decided to use that to try to show his secretive, creepy nature, by having his back turned. I'm so glad you enjoy the sketch, expecially since you're very much not an Ichimaru fan!
And thank you so much for your background suggestions - your idea of scratcy lines/details helps get me thinking. The backgrounds have definitely been the hardest part of this series so far... it's tough trying to come up with something to suit every character.
