I really wanted to try my hand at a new Tinkerbell. Now I'm not saying little girls wearing Tink merch bothers me as much as Mom's For Twilight- because I know Tink is no longer the brat I knew as a kid/ from the Classic Disney Film/ Book/ Play etc but she is STILL a brat in my mind.

No, I haven't seen the new Fairy stuff so I can't say if she's the same or not I just assume she isn't. But when I think of Tink I think of her preening on Wendy's mirror in the Disney Classic Peter Pan (or as a fluttery spot light XD)

Anyways I wanted to try to get better at a few effects and I figured this was the perfect opportunity so this was done for my own practice.
Effect 1: Smooth wash background done with two copic markers no brush just a chisel nib. I think I succeeded in giving it a brushed 'paint' effect.

2: objects/ scenery to scale- WOOO- now of course I cheated and watched this scene a bunch of times and found views of it from carious angles though not this one but meh. I also grabbed a plate- a ball of yarn, a thimble, and some thread so that helped. I used a small lamp I have as the 'Tink' stand in XD

3: MIRROR/Reflective surface. Okay so I FAILED at doing metallic silver but HEY I got the mirror's surface down right?... I also FAILED at making the mirror lie properly. Oh well.

4: Wings. OMG FO I FAIL AT WINGS it took me looking up a lot of pics of a friend who cosplays Tink and seeing how her wings reflected more than just BLUE to go 'ooooooh' XD I translated that to the mirror as well.

Done on X-Press It Blending Card with BIC Mechanical Pencil under Copic SP Multi-Liners (black) and Copic Multi-Liners (sepia I want to get grey too!) with Copic Sketch Markers for color The stripes are an unintentional
watermark aka: I thinks my scanner is dying.

Again, I am working hard to make sure I site where I get my ideas from -Walt Disney's Classic: Peter Pan- while this was done without watching the movie I did look up the Tinkerbell Music Boxes with a similar design and several photos of ballerinas and generic Tinkerbell/ Fairy Art so please if you do share this either site me OR link back I have no problem with people sharing my art I am flattered you'd want to! But if I come across Tumblr and you've claimed this as YOUR WORK and you say you did it with Crayola Markers? I'm sorry. I'm going to PM you. This is all hand drawn if you want my INKS so you can print out my art- and color? Just ask I always scan my works in progress because that's how I learned to color. >^.^<
