Like the concept. would be cleverer if it was cos(u) and the integration was from 0 to pi. that way the integration is actually... used.

Hurrah! Maths! There really is nothing like spending two hours on a problem (or more, my record is three months - with breaks, obviously) and finally having a 'click' of inspiration, and solving the seemingly impossible in six lines or so.
Now for ∫(logx,1,2)dx... which was actually the three-month problem (we only learnt that d/dx of ln(x) is 1/x, and not even shown why, so it became my pet project. Sad, I know, but I did enjoy explaining it to my further maths class...)

Oops, no that wasn't the three month project (that was to find d/dx of log x) - but integrating ln(x) does look interesting... sorry. I really shouldn't be confusing integrating with differentiation, but I'm afraid I do sometimes. Very embarrassing.
