My World Tree Rpg party.. it has becomen huge
A zi-ri (petite dragonling), a sleeth (large feral cat), two gormorors (a bear and a wolverine), an orren (otter-folk), two canis (well, dogs.. a husky and a white-brown mix), four rassimels (two raccoons, a skunk and my cat).
For the fun!
Looking forward to our next game.

I know it isn't legal... but do you know any place I can download World Tree RPG? I have a dire interest in this game, but I can't find it.

Yes, it isn't legal. When I looked for any material about it (it is expensive and I didn't know if I should buy it or not, so I wanted some samples too) there wasn't any. So I trusted my instinct and interest and bought it.
But keep searching, pirates might upload it after they dock their ship, they always find a way, and you can download it, har-har-har.
I suggest to buy it, the world is beutiful, it is good to read and get to know. (There is a core book, and a novel.)
The novel was strange, I didn't really enjoyed it, because there wasn't enough detail, and description in it, and I couldn't really imagine the story and its characters 
I read first the novel, while my friends could read the corebook and I saw I made a poor choice. 
The corebook.. So the rules are fine as long as you play only social games. The magic system is fine (well, it - or at least parts of it - can be really familiar from the Ars Magica RPG), but it is exploitable (if the DM allows it) and it needs tons of dice-check. And if you want fights in the story then it will be an endless sitting and dice-throwing with the most random initiative system I have ever seen. In a fight you throw dice for attacking, defending, special manuvering, special defending, damaging, botching. And there come the mostly-casters, with their tons of dice (in comparison to Earthdawn or D&D)
We made our character generator xls, and our own character sheet, because the original one was... well.. awfully bad. We improve it all the time we come out with an idea..
It would be great if the Blooms made a second edition with corrections, clearing things up where is foggy. But their home page doesn't exist any more, so I don't expect anything to happen...
