EDIT: Changed the file to a photo of my sketchbook because it better reflects the actual colors of the piece. We all know the scanner washes out everything.

My scanner is a stupid butt and isn't quite big enough for my sketchbook, so sorry for the bit of Telen's head that is out of focus. The colors are also much brighter in real life... I'll try to fix that. Aryssa's color scheme is a bit hideous, too, I know. (Bits of it are done in gold pencil but you can't really tell here.) But once I got started I just couldn't go back!

My headcanons:

Telen is a Vulcan shopkeeper who sells and trades spices, incense and meditation aids. He takes himself far too seriously, considering his relatively low social standing, and is more than a little bit vain. He conceals a bit of a temper problem by acting snooty. 45, still relatively young for a Vulcan, though he seems older.

Aryssa is a Bolian, happily employed as a Dabo girl at the station's bar. As most Bolians are, she's cheerful and sociable, and she's very good at doing her job by striking up a conversation or putting on her moves to distract players. When she's not working, she offers a friendly ear for people to share their problems, or sometimes a shoulder to cry on. Her hair may or may not be real--it's very hard to tell.
