11 x 8 inches; watercolor, marker and metallic penAs with all these stragglers in my requests, I was having trouble with balancing the composition. I felt with this one it should be an asian feel with the kimono as a centerpiece, the young fox presenting the finishing obi for the emporer's outfit.
Also, it is really hard to draw a design on a rug with people standing on it. ^_^

The way I envisioned this I could not use blue, which is like my favorite color to base works on. Red definately had to be the dominant color, and I need to do more with this palette, it feels capable of many other great works.

I'm really digging all the little patterns you worked into this piece. Especially the rug, but also the draping of the curtains in the back forms a bit of a pattern as well, very interesting to look at.

I wondered if my choice of curtains would be cool or not. I like the texture too, but I wonder if it would still be good if I did regular drapes. But it works well so that's good.
