It's girl's nature to become girly, even Toph is happy with the feeling of girly...(in book2 E15)... Although Toph said that one thing good of being blind is she dont need to worry about appearencesm she dont care.. but she almost cry when she said this...so here is the your pretty dress and beatiful make up my little ladyοΌ
actually I didnt mean to make her so girly, but I took the wrong sketch... whatever...
the custom she wearing is called "QiZhuang" which I believe must be one of the main dress reference of the Earth kingdom cloth style. It was a typical custom among noble class and royal family members in ancient China, about 400 years ago.
Toph is actually my most favorite character in ATLA (not Azula who I maybe drew most)... but I even didn't done a single serious work for her so far... Orz

Nicely done. This is really pretty and definitely is how I would picture Toph if she were being girly... well, outside of when she wore makeup in the episode you mentioned, but in that she kinda looked terrifying. xP
