Description Katokur
Representative of a herbivorous, peace-loving fauna. Due to its large size and excellent protection, on the territory of Mrodar he has practically no natural enemies.
These individuals grow up to 7 meters in height and 10 in length. Their jaw is not just a beak, but a real grater, inside of which is hidden a double row of teeth designed for good grinding of leaves and branches.
They lead a lonely, wandering lifestyle. Two katokurov can be seen only in the summer during the mating season, which happens in these creatures every five years. The female carries and lays one single egg, which hides in the trunk of the tree and protects it until the baby leaves freedom. The baby is more like a larva, because it does not have paws, and they grow during the year and a whole year, the baby lives in a hollow where the mother brings him food in the face of fruits and chewed foliage. When the baby’s paws grow, the mother knocks a tree and frees the baby from his temporary nursery. After which, the mother travels with her child for a couple of years, and then he goes on his way.
Katokurs have a strong shell, and excellent memory, which helps them return to rich pastures and watering places. These hulks move slowly, carefully rearranging their legs with wide feet.
Maybe these creatures seem clumsy, but do not underestimate them. If desired, the katokur can sharply wave its massive tail, or put its front legs into battle.
At sunset, Katokurs love to howl beautiful tunes. It sounds like a howl mixed with clicks, gurgling and whistling.
