It's still the 25th for another few minutes, IT STILL COUNTS!!

So yeah, another freaking year where I had to spend my 25th of April swamped with work and scrambling to get my yearly commemorative post up, but goddamnit, Heaven or Hell, fire or rain, this will NOT be the year I let the date fly by empty-handed! I did have to race to get this 'un done, and it shows, so it isn't quite as well done as I'd like, I may have to touch it up some more later...

Anywho, happy 25th of April, everyone. The Carnation Revolution is 47 years old today (they grow up so fast) and so I come to you today with this humble post to raise a glass and wave a flag to freedom and democracy:

May they grow ripe, but never old.

Now, for those of you who might be curious, this particular specimen is a parody of a very famous post-revolution poster illustrating the mutual bond between the People ("Povo") and the revolutionary Armed Forces Movement ("Movimento das Forças Armadas" - MFA). Thus, once again, my two Hetalia Portugals get to come out and play for a while. Classic!Portugal isn't too thrilled about being forced into a girly dress, but Nyo!Portugal, whom I always did picture in my head as being a bit of a tomboy, is quite happy to be putting the pants on... especially at her other self's expense.

Take heart and keep the fire alive, guys, democracy isn't gonna uphold itself, especially not in these trying times. Keep the fire alive.
