"FELICIANO! Where the hell are you?!" A worried and distraught Lovino Vargas shouted around the old cottage the Royal Italian Army was using as a headquarters in a village in Monte Grappa. His idiot of a brother was missing shortly after he explicitly told him to stay there as he was the "flagbearer" of the Army (actually a position that Lovino himself made up to convince Feliciano that he had some important role in the Army to give him an excuse to remain at base). It seemed that the lie didn't work, as Feliciano was nowhere to be found around the village.

"Dammit! That asshole just had to wander out again!" he thought. Upon seeing a soldier nearby he rolled his eyes and decided to ask him if he had seen his brother.

"Hey richionne*! Have you seen my idiot of a brother around?" he asked.

The soldier sighed and faced him, "I think I saw him over near Girardi's Homestead looking fo-"

"AIRSHIP!!!!!" another soldier shouted just as the cottage beside them exploded. Lovino and the soldier ran for cover as the Austro-Hungarian zeppelin's gondolas started firing their HE guns at the ground. The zeppelin was shortly followed by fighter and bomber biplanes that started attacking and strafing the Italian forces.

The rest of the Italians started mobilizing as Lovino saw Austro-Hungarian soldiers taking positions on the ridge overlooking the village. He heard a cry of "Angriff der Italianer*!" as they started firing down at them. The RIA fired back.

"Merda*! I thought the Habsburgs were on the retreat!" Lovino said as the soldier picked up an Automatico 1918 from a crate and threw another one towards Lovino, who caught it despite his surprise.

"Come on! Let's go find your brother before the Austro-Hungarians do!" the soldier said as he prepared his Automatico. Lovino was impressed and quite surprised that this soldier immediately decided to help him despite his rudeness towards him.

"Er...thank you. By the way...your name is-?"

"Just call me Luca. Everyone does. Now come on! The one thing I don't want to see is a man losing a member of his family. Avanti!"
