Description
For Splinter's Pokemon, I picked ones that'll make him feel like he's back in the country side of Japan, and very suitable for his nostalgic and traditional traits.
Splinter's Pokemon:
*Sakuya (Ninetails, Female)- To resemble the legendary Japanese 9-tailed fox known as the kitsune. Not to mention that she's also very parental & nurturing to her friends and family, and fierce to her enemies like her master.
*Quill (Chimco, Male)- The sounds of Quill's ringing soothes Splinter from his troubles and stress, especially when dealing with the Turtles fighting and arguing against each other.
Quill's name is a pun of the word "tranquility."
*Ginseng (Oddish, Male)- Named after a type of tea leafs, which is ironic because Ginseng nicely offers pieces of his weak leaves to make them into tea for his master.
*Celebi (Wild, Befriended)- Just like Mikey with Mew, Splinter didn't capture Celebi but it's still part of his Pokemon team because he befriended and bond with it (and he saved Celebi when it got it's foot stunk under a root, back when he was Hamato Yoshi).
Celebi doesn't visit the sewer lair as much as Mew does, but it still owes Splinter it's life for saving it.
Gave away
*Chikura (Cherrim, Female)- Named with the combination of the Japanese words "chibi" (small) and "sakura" (cherry blossom), so her name means "little cherry blossom."
Chikura was a gift Splinter gave to his baby daughter Miwa, during the Sakura festival, and a token from Celebi to congratulate the birth of the baby girl.
What actually happened to Chikura over the years was unspeakable.....
