Description I found a few pieces of coal in my repertoire yesterday and thought of giving them a try. Even though coal is one of my least favorite tools, i think this came out quite nicely

The characters name is Duhliya, one i've had for quite a while but actually never drew

Cute character! I like her, eventhough Manga style is not my favourite. You drew her very well!

This *did* come out really well! Duhliya is lovely, I'd like to see her again... and more of your drawing with charcoal - or looks like you might try oil pastels or something like it.

Heh thank you very much for your kind comment Well maybe i will, when i have moved, but now i'm in the middle of moving, so looks quite dull to get something done anytime soon But i'm glad you like my work and my character

She's very pretty, you should use charcoal more often if you get results like this :3

Thanks for your comment
Maybe i should, but charcoal is still one of my least favorite tools Yet i'm playing with the thought of getting some of those colored acryl pastel charcoal thingies (no idea what they are called in english) and try with those, the way of achiving a goal should be close

Really beautiful! How can you not like charcoal when you can do this with it?

Because i'm perfectionistic and when i used choal earlier, i always smudged what i had already drawn no mater if i used a tissue or woodblock to lie my hand on, wich drove me insane every time, so i gave up until i found a way to do it so it works well for me, nevertheless i still consider it my leastfavorite tool but thanks for your kind comment!

really good drawing. coal hm? something I have not tried.

how big is this picture, and how long(very generally) does it take you to draw something like this?

she is a very pretty character

It was on a A3 paper but the character took only about 3/4 of the paper. And i drew this in about 3-4 hours in total i suppose, it was quite easy because i already had kind of a flow with the coal Its fun to try it out sometimes but it can be frustrating when you are too perfectionistic like i sometimes am

She's really beautiful. Nice job with the hair, since charcoal can be absolutely challenging to make it look as clean as you've managed to make it look.
