This is the tutorial for the "proper crane", the one that most people will think of when it's mentioned. I know that my photoshopping skills suck and he pictures are a bit blurry, but bear with it and you should be fine.I would highly reccomend you practice with the flappign crane for a while to get the hang of reverse folds, petal folds and squash folds before attempting this one.

Hello,
I been a little confused about the final part with the wings are you actually suppose to fold down and make a crease line for when you pull down the wings or are you just suppose to pull them apart and spread them?

You can do either. It depends how you want the final product to look. Why not try both ways and see which one you prefer.

First time giving this a try...
I tought "the flapping crane" was the complicated one, so I went straight ahead and did this haha -shot-
It's sitting on my windowsill now, and well... the poor thing is kind of beaten up, and I think I managed to do alot the wrong way... but hey, it looks like a crane

Whoa! Whoawhoa! Wrong attitude. Just cuz you screw up the first one, or even the fifth, doesn't mean tyou should stay away. Just keep trying and eventually it'll work out. just try your best to make sure thaat each step looks like it does in the picture. Start with the flapping bird, then progess to this one.
Glad tyo hear you're trying though. Too many people give up without making that crucial first step.

The final step of folding the cranes head a second time, and folding the tail once at the base is missing T.T

Isn't that steps 15 and 14 respectively? Or are you talking additional folds and I've been doing it wrong all these years?

The two final folds are missing :3
The head of the crane has a total of two folds. One going down (you have it) and one more fold which points the mouth at itself (two 90 degrees folds... sorta)
and the tail has a sort of reverse fold which i fail to explain in words xD
