Description Ok, I would call this my first "serious" model. It's Satoshi Kamiya's Hercules beetle, and it was a real pain to do. I was flip-flopping between calling it that or "how I learned to stop worrying and love the sink fold"! Sink folding is the keyword to this model. Just for fun I went through and counted them for you. There are 10. 10 sink folds! AHAHAHAHA...Sorry. Sign I grew up in the 90s I guess. Anyhow, that is a lot. Coming out of that, I feel I can sink fold anything, open or closed! The actual model came out a bit rounder and thicker then they usually do, but it wa smy first attempt and I suspect I should have used larger paper to get the legs better. By the end there I was sorta just bending them into place, which is bad origami. The horn, jaw, abdomen and wings however, came out amazing! So happy with them. So on this model the only real imrovement I need is on the legs. Good to know, you know?

Splendid! The two ones I made aren't as succeeded as yours! Congratulations!

yes, you can do a sink fold... but how about an UNSINK? Ha ha! Thanks for adding this to the group!

Actually, I still have a lot of difficulty with unsinking folds, which is why I'm grateful they don't come up too often. It's probably since my fingers are so sausage like and I refuse to use tools like tweezers like any rational person.

I haven't decided yet. See, if I fold another one then it will be better and I won't want this one. If I don't fold another then this si the only one and I want it. You see the problem?

Though on that note, I've been considering selling these thigns online since I usually don't end up keeping most of them, but I can't decide on a good price or shipping method since they tend to bend easily. Like this beetle. His legs have a habit of all pushing forward if he's left alone (I needed to push them back for the phot, but they're creeping up again). So along those lines, What would you suggest for both quesitons (price and method), like how much would you be willing to pay for this for the sake of argument. If you'd rather nto put it here (and assume it's a serious question) then feel free to note me instead.

Thank you! I've always wanted to fold a beetle (or bugs in general), since they seme to mark sort of a right of passage in origami-land. I'm happy I didn't try before now though since I probably would have just ripped up the paper in frustration...a lot.

I just love beetles anyway, bugs are cool.
