Another winged horse model! This is the third version I've done and the second one I've posted here. This one I got from Satoshi Kamiya's "Works of Satoshi Kamiya", a book full of amazing models that just beg to be tried. These are really advanced models, far afield of my usual exploits, but I can't resist. This is the closest I've gotten to finishing one of the models..did I mention these are hard? The legs aren't perfect. But whatever. I'm never happy when I finish something, so this might just be me whining. Ignore this.Edit: I recently folded a better version of the model and Took a better picture. The wings came out SO(!) much better here, but the legs still look too stumpy and the hoofs are impossible to do still. Anyhow, I think you all will be more pleased with this version.

I know it's pricey, but you can find it [link] It also pops up very occasionally on sale some places, but that is exceedingly rare. And if you have no qualms about that sort of thing, you can also torrent it, print it out and bind it. Bear in mind that a page of one of the models (can't remember which one) was left out on purpose from the scanned copy going around.
And think you. It's really not that bad. I mean, it's a hobby, right? So it's about the time you put into it. Start small and work your way up.

And ya, the multiple views are essential here to really get a feel for how the wings spread and connect to the body. I've tried capturing that from one angle and found it impossible to do. I was going to merge the two photos (like some of my other ones) now that I have access to Photoshop, but both of them have faves, so they'll have to remain separate now.

There really are alot of steps, but fortunately I have literally hours to wait sometimes when running programs. I suppose I could be worknig on my paper, but eh. This is much more fun!

Ya, this attempt definately turned out much, MUCH better then my last, and combined with the newer, much better camera I can now show you all the little details. My favourite's the wings. They came out absolutely perfect this time around.

Oh man, not what I was thinking, but what a great song! I love that song! But I do suppose my fingers are more dextrous then most since many peple tell me they can't do the folding I do. I usually just chalk it up to practice really.

But am I fixing form with fiddler's folding fingers or forcing phrase with folder's fiddling fingers? Foolish to be fancy when footing is flimsy I feel.

That last line should have read "fortunatley finished with that finally and forever" I think. It flowss a little better and the "forever" at the end lends it the air of finality that you were looking for.
