So you created all the objects yourself?

Yes. In 3DS Max.

nice, did you paint over it afterwards, or is it done completely in 3d?

The very background sky and buildings are just a photoshop made jpeg, then the main buildings from the sketch are made in 3DS Max. It's not painted over on top of that. The glow is just an effect added in 3DS Max to the blue colour material and the orange glow from under the large builing. So it's a bit of both phtotshop and 3D.

Looking through what you have on here I really am a fan of your art style. What has been your main inspiration to create these images, any particular elements from TV or comic series or is it just something you have developed yourself?

I might take a look at making another in CGI, perhaps have a camera fly around it and upload as a GIF animation.

I think you already have succeeded, you have a portfolio of very interesting designs. I really do see this as a future video game / film.

You should try to focus on story writting next, even if you just get a basic outline involving all your characters and locations together as I see real potential in this and have no doubt this would be picked up by a studio if you compile a well rounded project that you could pitch.

Keep at it, more art and construct a story to go with it. This project will grab the right persons attention one day, it has to. Your artwork shows me a world that is far too interesting to ignore.

Thank you and best of luck to you too.

I would love to work on this as an actual project someday.
Story already exisits! Sounds like your all set to go. A trip to E3 to get inside contacts in the industry might be a good place to start.
You could meet and talk to people from the industry and hopefully establish a few contacts, from there if you could get Microsoft Game Studios involved there would be no looking back for you.

I will try to get back into the CGI, I havn't been able to make anything for such a long time I'm a little bit out of practise at the momment.
If I make a few more of these that should help me get back on track.

Well you could try pitching the idea direct to Microsoft:-
www.imaginecup.com/competition…

Tell them about your concept art and story, provide them a link to your work and give them contact details.
That would be one option and then Microsoft would atleast get to know about you and your work. You could try this first, it might be all you need to get noticed.

E3 is in California 2017, could double it up as a holiday
It would be a good chance to meet important people and directly discuss your ideas with people from the industry.
Probably the best option as developers and reps are there from many companies.

cool thank you very much for the link, i will look into it, already checked it a bit.

moving to the us is maybe more beneficial on the long term, the us gaming market is huge, we'll see what happens...

california weather sounds nice though
