I like Happy X-mas (War is Over) better, but I'm a bigger fan of McCartney.

Happy X-Mas (War is Over) - John Lennon, always, and yes, I'm a damn dirty Hippie. What are you gonna do about it?

Happy X-mas (War is Over) if only because my high school band did a rather splendid arrangement of it one concert. Then again, it could be hereditary... my dad's side of family were hippies of some sort...

I love both songs....and you know avoiding Yoko's intrusion in the children's chorus I do love "Happy X-Mas (War is Over) but it's a song that makes me cry during X-mas so I'd rather not hear it during that time unless I'm prepared lol. But I also love "Wonderful Christmas Time" because it's catchy and cute and basically Paul altogether. I love them both in different ways.

It's weird because normally way more of a McCartney fan, but in this case, I think Lennon's song is better lyrically and emotionally ^_^

I love both of those songs equally as well. Some of my favorites along with Band-Aid's "Do They Know It's Christmas" and Wham's "Last Christmas". Best pop Christmas songs ever. I hate the remakes of "Happy Christmas (War Is Over)". No one can compare to Lennon's version.
