Again...this will probably not be a piece itself, but who knows. I might incorporate it into the larger tableau of "The Murder of the Seventy." Regardless, I had to at least get a single of Dan as one of Abimelek's hired murderers. I had worked on the costumes and weapons for over a month...I know it's not period, per se....but the story of Abimelek who hires these brutes to assist him in murdering all seventy of his brothers in order to be king was so evil that I felt all of their appearance should reflect the dark fearsomeness of it.
This is the scan of the film I did two days ago. Much more to go.....
My priority at this point is to get everything shot first. I'm hoping to have all of the stories photographed by the beginning of summer. Then I can paint....
But for those in LA, I will be painting two pieces from In the Time of the Judges next weekend at the Brewery Artwalk. Both days at 3PM in Theory Labs - 624 Moulton.
Geeze, it's 4:30 and I'm wide awake....

Thank you. Yeah, Dan kinda nailed this one. It will be a lot of work to get the final composition, but we got off to a very good start. It was worth all of the weeks of work...
