Fantastic piece you've got here. I'm incredibly surprised to have found it! I haven't happened to find my first Hussite deviantart, have I? (I'm a bit of a geek for the Hussite Reformation)

Thank you...it's basically a traditional darkroom photo and oil paint...

One of the most wonderful thing about having artists in the family are gifts like this one.
In college, my rooms were full of work from my mother, my grandmother, and my grandfather, and when I finally have a house of my own, it will be full of the color and soul and beauty they've blessed me with.

Anyways.
Powerful and beautiful, as always. The texture and contrast is to die for.

Yes...well with oilpaint over top. Traditional film and a darkroom print. Oil paint reduction over it.

Hmmmm... one should be listening to Wagner's Valrykies for viewing this... wonderfully Romantic & dramatic.

Epic!

Is that montage? Or is there indeed these statues behind the one in the foreground?

Thank you...And it's a single shot. It's basically the BW print with oil paint. I did paint out the bird sitting on his head however....
