You are right the city is amazing! You just have to lose yourself in the narrow streets and it takes you back to a time long since gone. Excellent piece!

one of my favorite cities as well. all the good towns in italy are the small ones. Have you ever been to Pitigliano? It's a little more south.

wow... i get such an evil undertone from this one.. i thinks it the colors, and the fact that i am seeing set of eyes in the sky. its like these evil eyes in a fire sky that are just looming there, waiting for the city to surrender.

I wish... I was only there briefly a number of years ago. It's a city to get lost in. I was with my friend Kelly and we had split up and couldn't find each other for hours. All the streets wind and you'd be hard pressed to find a right angle anywhere...
I have many photos from there...and some great memories. If you can go...GO.
The image is actually just one photo, broken up over many sections, with tons of under and over painting. It was originally supposed to be the main image for my museum show, but I had just finished a mural of Prague and the curator thought that it dwarfed this piece....so she stayed at home.
I'll get the mural up here as soon as I figure out a way to do it. The dimensions are 3x20 and I'm not sure if it'll wotk on this site... I'll come up with something...
