Description There are those who choose to see
and those who don't

For we who with eyes
clouded as they are
can see the hearts
shatter in the chests...
can almost taste the blood...
can nearly take the hands of the drowning
yet the final reach is not for us to make...

the scent of the dead is the stone we carry

Hurl the prayers into a sea of mercy
whose hand holds back the vista of truth
which if we were to see
in all its wrath
would rip the pulse from our hearts

For there is a war
unseen by human eyes
and left for the angels to wage

the thunder of consuming waves
only an echo and smoke
of a fire hidden by Grace
but which in the end
will make the way
for the light that endures

when the dark mirror cracks

Until I get new work scanned this will have to do...

Wow. What an expression. And that almost distorted hand is amazing. The texture makes this piece so beautiful.. I love how the darkest part of the picture is around the face and how the darkness sort of drips and cracks down the canvas. Definetly a

The text really adds to the image. I love the texture and the seeming struggle to break free of the darkness.

Such agony evoked. Assuming this piece corellates to your journal entry, I must say that life is an inescapable series of peaks and valleys... we make due, somehow.

the poem is ...well....a masterpiece. ( btw, sorry I bothered you at work yesterday. I was looking for someone I could talk to 'directly' from DA who might know about a technical procedure on da) anyway I could talk about this poem for a while but why? it speaks perfectly well enough. Would you mind if I downloaded it Kevin?

I really like the textures on this one. It's simpler then most of your work but the simplicity works well. I like the lack of colour and the contrast. It's looks so miserable. I really like it.
