this one is excellent. Β the costume in the tv show is too dark is what i should have said. Β yours is much lighter.

You did a really amazing job! I was just telling a friend how I'd like to attempt something like this, only to be interrupted seeing that it was already done. LOL

This is awesome!

No problem.

I'd love to see my take on Supergirl as well. I went to use a few of my programs & my computer is on the fritz. I can't create a 3D object or tinker with coloring either at the moment.Β  I think I'm having a problem with windows recognizing some of my programs. I believe it to be malware or viruses. With any luck I'll have it going by the weekend. I plan to look around my stuff & see what I can make for her. I may alter the suit a bit depending on how closely I can match her.

I'll send you a link when I do it.

Good luck with your computer, and I'll be looking forward to your Supergirl render.

Okay...I'm gonna go out on a limb here & say how amazing you are at creating custom textures. I've got things back (kinda) on par & I'm working on my version of her. Mine is nowhere in the vicinity of yours. I can't even get the "S" shield outline right! LOL I'm not sure if my skills to do the red lines on her shirt will ever be able to do her justice.

You're very kind, but I'm just an hard working amateur. And don't sell yourself short, you have some very nice renders on your gallery.
And there is a great video tutorial about creating super-hero emblems for Daz:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=8CR0ss…
I hope it helps.

Thanks for the kind words. I'm usually work with what I have instead of venturing out of my comfort zone. Frankensteining some of the figures/clothing/textures works for me, but I wish I had more time to really figure out what's going on with Poser & DazStudio.

I mainly work with Poser, but I have dabbled with Studio. I like how easily it is to use Genesis for a multitude of figures instead of individual figures in Poser.

I really appreciate the link. I'll have to reinstall DazStudio in the near future (probably after the next wipe & reload that I see coming soon). I plan to try the info in the link you sent me. I also saw a ton of cool links on the same one as well for other Daz tips & tricks to use as well.

I'm glad to help.
Daz released a new Beta (4.8) with a new, Iray based, render engine. It's very good, but I'm having a hard time learning to use it. Check it out when you have the time.
Yeah, I really like how the Genesis figures are versatile. Sometime I'll have a full scene with men, women and monsters and they're all Genesis based. BTW, Supergirl is Genesis 2 Female (V6 + some custom morphs).

thefalliblefox In reply to kevmann [2015-03-23 23:57:16 +0000 UTC]

I'm gonna have to definitely give that one a try, then! Thanks for the info.

I just assumed she was a V4 figure. That's cool.

kevmann In reply to thefalliblefox [2015-03-24 00:38:12 +0000 UTC]

You're welcome.
Like we were talking, the Genesis base is more versatile than V4 (or M4), I like the way we can mix different figures and morphs (I used V6 + Josie + custom morphs on Supergirl, if I remember it right).

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

thefalliblefox In reply to kevmann [2015-03-24 02:17:59 +0000 UTC]

I think I've got the Josie morphs. I had planned to tinker with her, but that's about the time of a crash & I never went back to Studio. It wasn't because of anything major, just more Poser stuff & I understand the program better than Studio. I was porting Genesis over into Poser, but I never got the clothing to work right.

I just wish Poser would catch on to Daz's ability to have a 1 character fit all.

I'm gonna seriously have to put DazStudio back in. Not sure where my disks are so I'm re-downloading it now.

Wow, didn't waste much time with this one, nice job.Β  One request?Β  The boots have a wedge heel can you show us how she would look with her feet arched accordingly?

I'll update the costume when we get more photos.
Thanks for the tip about the boots, I hadn't noticed the heels.
