amazing! I wish I could see something like this in night sky of the place where I live. Sadly, it's usually cloudy here. Breathtaking photo!Β

I appreciate it. Next time I'll bring a flashlight so I can see that camera settings. haha. It was taken at my parent's house in Hopland, California.

I love starscapes and I'm just getting into them. Can be quite challanging though, need good weather but I love this.

I'm lucky enough to live in a rural area with a lot of landmarks, if I face north I have some of the darkest skies in the UK, but if I face south then I get a tad bit of light pollution. Would love a wide lens for it too and an ND filter.

Well you can often rent a good wide lens cheaply from your local camera shop. Tokina also makes a good, fast, very sharp wide angle lens that is quite a bit cheaper than a Canon or Nikon lens if you want to own.

I often rent off the where I used to work or from other places where I know people for moderate, owning one is simpler though. Looking at Sigma 10-20mm so we'll see, lady on a budget at the minute having to be a student instead of working.

Fun to think others care about more than Christmas food, since photos is mostly what i do at Christmas but we didn't even get snow for the first time in my entire life here in Sweden and still no snow i cant believe the heat. Beautiful photo.

Thank you. I agree.Β
You can't see it because of the dark, but it was very dry where that photo was taken in northern California as well. Normally it would be green and wet but everything is still dry from the summer. It is the driest year on record in California.
