Description
I've been wanting to do this for a while: I've got so many characters, I decided to start making reference sheets for them all! Most of my TLK characters have already been done, but I've never uploaded them on dA until now. Bare with me--there are quite a few of them, but they'll give people a color and design ref for anyone who wants to draw them, as well as a more detailed back-story than any I've put up before.

Name: Viza

Species: Lion

Gender: Male

Pride: Part of the Pridelands at first, then goes off to start his own Pride.

Personality: A lot like his father, Nuka, but much more bitter/sarcastic. He was often depressed as a cub, due to his heritage as Scar's grandson. Secretly, however, he has a soft, sympathetic heart that he shows on occasion in his own twisted ways.

Description: Dark gray-brown fur, light gray-brown toes/underbelly, dark brown eyepatches, dots under his right eye, very dark brown almost black head/tail/elbow tufts (and mane/beard/sides of face in the future), outlander-shaped snout, black outlander nose.
Other: Like his sister, Harufu, Viza is one of the few neutral characters in TLK III. He is close with his sister and looks out for his younger cousin, Kuwasha. Unlike Harufu, however, Viza despises his heritage. He hates being related to Scar, and at times, hates being his father's son.
History: Viza and his sister Harufu are the posthumous cubs of Nuka and Dotty, born shortly after the alliance between Outlanders and Pridelanders. For a time, she and Viza are the only two cubs in the Pridelands, and play by themselves…one reason they grow so close. However, because they are the two first outlander-looking cubs born in the Pridelands (before Kiara and Kovu’s cubs and before Vitani’s), many of the pridelanders pride sisters are wary of both their appearance and heritage: Viza has bright green eyes…proof that Nuka was the son of Scar. Viza was tremendously bothered by this as a cub, to the point where he began to hate his genes, and to some degree, his father. He'd often spend his youth sulking--depressed. If it weren't for his sister, pestering him to "grow up and get over it" he probably would've still stayed just as miserable as an adult. In his teen years, Viza becomes very bitter, sarcastic, and easily irritated. This, however, is an act for the most part: easier to keep his young cousins out of his hair if they think he's easily irritable. Yet, the one cub Viza CAN tolerate is Kiara and Kovu's young son, Kuwasha. Kuwasha is a white lion, and is ostracized/looked at differently, because of that. Viza understands the younger boy's pain and will occasionally stand up to him, or allow him a shoulder to cry/take refuge on. In turn, Viza dislikes his cousin Kivuli (Vitani's son), who takes pleasure in tormenting Kuwasha. Viza is particularly bitter to him, and will occasionally lose his temper and tell him off. Ironically, after Kuwasha runs away, Kovu turns to Viza and asks him to take Kivuli with him, as a means of exile. Viza is a teenager at this point, and was about to go off to start his own Pride. He tries to protest, but he is furious with Kivuli for what he's done, and can't really say no to Kovu, because he agrees that exile is the proper punishment. So, after joining the search to look for Kuwasha for a time, Viza and the young, now-scarred Kivuli leave the Pridelands. They don't get along--at all, although Viza is forced to mind the younger cub, and look after the fresh, deep slashes on his face (made by Kuwasha's sister, Upendi, in her rage.) It's difficult to search for females with a wounded cub tagging alongside you, which only fuels Viza's frustration at his cousin. The one good thing that comes from this is that Kivuli begins to realize the error of his ways, he's constantly scolded/neglected by Viza until he's able to make the connection that Kuwasha is out there, alone and possibly dead, and living a life very similar to him. Once he understands and admits this, Viza begins to actually care for him (as opposed to subtly watching but not participating in the cub's well-being) and the two develop a tolerance for one another.
As time progesses, Viza gathers a few young lionesses and forms a small Pride. As such, Kivuli begins to feel he's in his cousin's way, and asks permission to leave, once he reaches his teenhood. Viza, confident that Kivuli has changed from the nasty cub he once was, and will be able to care for himself now (even with only one eye) allows him to leave.

Position: Rogue--leader of small Pride.

Crush/Mate: Several lionesses in his Pride, but no single mate.

Children: Several cubs, sired by the lionesses in his Pride.
