(Edit: I've done an improved version of the design of the first two characters: [link] )Someone on 4chan made a suggestion about a "Life note" manga.(the thread continued on people making manga series that are the complete opposites of the original)
anyway, i liked the idea and came up with that stuff.
The main character is the girl and the angel next to her.
Life notes can revive the dead(as long as a rough human shape of the dead person still exist(like a skeleton). It can also make a living person survive death once(only works on unnatural death) and can make a person pregnant either with another person(something like the angel "Amor" as in the legends) or without one(like maria from the bible lol)

The story starts something like that: The angel woman there(angels are non-human too, like shinigami, though they look a bit nicer XP) is in the real world reviving people who died in accidents etc., when the shingami there on the right comes along. They talk about kira(its set some years after the original deathnote story) and he talks how the world became exiting for shingami once again and angels should follow their examples, the angel refuses of course that humans shouldn't be toyed with. He however hurt the angel(which does'T do much, but gives him enough time) and took her Lifenot and throw it on the ground.
Then the slightly emo girl on the left picks it up(who lost all her relatives in an accident and stuff) and trys it out first and then starts reviving people who died in accidents too and create, like kira, a legend as a good god of the world. The angel finally meets with her, and even though humans might realize the existence of a lifenote, she let her continue to use it.
Thousand of miles away a psychopath(the guy in the middle) who murdered several dozen of people, but got away with it, waited for a day until he is sure kira is gone. Now, that kira is dead and a god of life came he decided to take actions. Instead of contiuning kiras work or something like that, he just wants the world to be exciting again and so he goes on murdering people left and right without getting caught. A race begins with the two people reviving and killing people.
After a while he gets bored because he is losing, but then the shinigami meets up with him and gives him his deathnote, and then the real fun begins.
This is all i got and will most likely never bother to continue it XP

lol i made my own life note without even knowing other people had thought about it to... i thought since there are gods of DEATH there are gods of LIFE and they could give out the LIFE NOTE. I mainly invented my own because i wanted L Lawliet back so badly... if there was a life note...it could happen

never ^^ i need something to do anyway, i've been trying to write the next chapter for my SM fanfic 'Modern Sailor Scouts' that's on fanfictio.net but i just can't seem to get past chapter 11, so I thought i might take a break from it and get to word on something else, this right now only makes three stories that I will be currently working on, my naruto fanfic 'Among Ourselves' which is just about my ocs (i have like 4 squads worth of OCs) and SM Odyessy which I have to start soon, but i need to draw the pictures first, so I'm not really writing anything at the moment ^^ and when i get an idea, I just have to get it down and see how it comes ^^

It would be great if she accidentally brought back Light. It'd be all like "Psych! I'm back! You all thought you were safe." And then kill Near. Not that I'm biased at ALL.

I like the character designs... until I get to the Shinigami. He seems underdone.

well, i wanted him to look more like those clichee western deathgods(like how the angel looks a bit similar to a clichee western angel)
but if you got an idea how to keep the general idea, but still make him look more like a deathnote-shinigami, i'm open for suggestions

Adding cloth folds to the Shinigami's cloak would be good, because his body looks kind of empty (unless that's what you were going for! ^_^)

That sounds like a good idea. I think you should do a oneshot because it would be a shame to never use such characters again.

haha, i don't do fanfics
not only would i have to put twice as much attention to grammar and such but also i would have to be as good as what i expect from other fanfics, and let me tell you, my expectations from fanfics and novels in general are quite high(i am not only a not fan of harry potter, but i also think its badly written)

Are you quite sure that the angels are 'nicer' than the shinigami? Going by your parallels here, the shinigami are the same as the Western idea of the demons of hell, and demons are only fallen angels. From a certain point of view, 'good' and 'evil' are just opposite sides of the same game board. Ha, that's just the idea that the book Good Omens stuck in my head.
And then say that your main character, the orphan girl, accidentally brings someone to life who would have really been better off dead-like, she's heard tales about her uncle who went missing a long time ago, and when she brings him back, she finds out that he was a murderer, or something like that. What are the limits on this Life Note, compared to the Death Note? Does the rule about faces and names remain the same? How are the people restored? Does the specific corpse regenerate flesh and come back to life, or is a new body built for every person? How many times can she come up with excuses for why a person has died and been buried in the ground, and is now miraculously alive? What does the main shinigami get from throwing down the Life Note and giving the bad guy the Death Note? Is it for greed, revenge, or entertainment?
Whoops. Didn't mean to make that long of a post. Anyway, I hope that these questions help you figure out if you want to do more with this story or not. I think it's interesting.

as for the first part, why are the angels in my storys the same as western idea of demons in hell? The angels in my story revive dead people who died in accidents, doesn't sound very demon like to me.(p.s.: i just said they looked nice, not that they are actually good or anything. Actually the shinigami, when he talked about kira and such with her, says something like "your existence is nothing more than ours, leftovers. God doesn't care about you or the humans anymore" and so on. But all of this is just for the in-story characters, in reality i know very well what good and evil is, or to put it better, wether good-evil even exist)
as for your question, i've already imagined most of the answers before i drew the pic, but i didn't want to bother writing more rules here because one might get confused sometimes XP
-yeah, the faces and name thing is the exact same. The shinigami-eyeball deal doesn't exist with angels
-If the basic remains exist(like a skelleton) then this source will be replaced with the original body before death(removing whatever was the cause of death, except for natural death wich would only prolong the live of the dead for a few moments)

this is the reason why she won't revive most of her relatives, because they have been buried and you know, you can't exactly go to a tomb and digging a corpse out

Just entertainment. After the kira accident a lot of shinigami got inspired by ryuk to make their lifes more enjoyable.(the deal about the deathnote story was always about the humans, not the shinigami, i wanted to remain that in this story)
