Basically they just don't want students reusing papers from old classes, so once you submit a paperΒ for class they considerΒ it plagiarism to turn in the same or a similar paper to another class.
I understand that they want us to write new material, but it seemed extreme to me thatΒ if you write a paper on aΒ similar topic to one you wrote in the past thatΒ you can get in trouble for self-plagiarism. College is crazy
