For what it's worth, her head looks fine to me.
Your style suits Marine very well. The thick lines and saturated colors play into her cartoonish personality. You also did a good job lighting and shading the scene around her lantern. I love the scene here. Seeing Marine strike out on her own, digging up treasure and standing on skulls like it's no big deal. Awesome.

Thanks, I always thought that Sonic character looked better with cartoonish lines.

Sonic was modeled after Mickey Mouse, so cartoony is definitely in his blood.

Very brave of Marine to venture out so late at night. I wonder if there are ghosts around~
The head doesn't seem big to me. Looks like some sort of mild stylization (like chibi), and both normal Sonic characters and chibis are supposed to have big heads. So, everything is fine.

It was suppose to be a cave, but I suck at making backgrounds ( especially caves ), so I just made some random place with grass at night.
