First of all, I just wanna say that this is a wonderful concept for a series of artworks, and that this piece fulfills that creepy vibe very well! The gaping mouth, lumbering gate, and narrowed, blood red eyes communicate it's monstrosity very well! Now, upon first looking at this piece without first reading the title or description, I was briefly confused as to what this creature was. Fungus on top maybe? Perhaps some licorice for muscles and bone? And what were the round things on it? But, after taking the time to read everything over, it became quite clear to me! Honestly, I'm not sure if there is any way to make him crumbler-ness more clear! Maybe evolving him into a crumbler blob-snail with a huge gooey mouth slithering towards you while leaving bits of whole raspberries behind would've been a bit more communicative? Like Jaba the pizza hut, except a desert? XD
Now, the goo dripping down does nails home the crumbler characteristics of him! I also must admit that I particularly like how the texture of rhubarb doubles as muscle/bone detailing! Plus, the rendering on this is well done! I'd give this a 7 and a half out of ten! I do really dig it, and I'm a sucker for cool, creapy concepts! Well done!
