Rack: He has a long lancer like horn that is as bright has his firey mane.

Mane: Brilliant striking orange! Silky in texture, worn loose but always well kept.

Coat: Dark liver chestnut. Short, glossy and clean with an additional abundance of flame-colored hair on his elbows and rump.

Scars: He has a long jagged crescent-shaped scar on the left side of his withers. A souvenir from his last fight with his dad. He usually wears a portion of his long silky qirin style mane draped to the left for this reason.

If you have Lucien tell the story he'll tell you he was marked for ill fortune since birth. He was born the 6th son, of a 6th son, born from a mother that was his father's 6th doe, a result of an impulsive and hormone-fueled liaison. And like frosting on the unlucky cake, he was born dark coated. The disappointment was shared by all.

Lucian's father had worked diligently to overcome his own unlucky stigma by dedicated service in the army and he pushed Lucien to do the same. Young Lucian tried to please his father and worked very hard, but the stag was ever short on praise and Lucien began to feel like nothing he could do would ever be enough. The young buck then turned to rebellion in order to win his sire's attention. He became insubordinate, clownish, flighty. Always flitting between one distraction or another. Lucien's poor behavior resulted in his expulsion from the military, but he finally got his Father's attention. The two came to blows. Being far younger than his sire and less experienced Lucien was soundly beaten. Lucien's bruised ego served only to fuel his spite and in his ultimate act of rebellion, and as the last blow to Dear Old Dad, Lucien ran away, across the mountains and to the home of the dark heathens.

Perhaps it would have made more sense for the young rapscallion to choose the life of a renegade, to answer to no one but himself, but he was lonely and needed someplace to belong. And well, what better way to cast greater shame on his father than embrace the way of The Mother.

Lucien subsequently petitioned to join Blackwood, spent his winter alone, and killed a wolf. He has been singeing predators and lighting fires ever since.
