A high gravity dusty world on the outskirts of the galaxy that is barley habitable even for the most enduring lifeforms, Yasumta is nonetheless the homeworld and capital of a spacefaring species, the hardy Millirlien. It is the second world in orbit of a middle aged, low mass F tyspe star; it's close, nearly circular orbit places it right on the edge of the habitable zone.

With a desolate, dusty surface and a dense atmosphere, much of the planet is enveloped for long periods of time in enormous dust storms, which in addition to blanketing the sky for weeks at a time also causes powerful electrical storms. Most of the water is confined to three large, landlocked, highly saline seas, and precipitations are extremely low except for a few hundred kilometers surrounding them. Continuation of life on Yasumta is precarious, which, combined with a relatively young age for it's system, means the local biosphere is a pale shadow of other life bearing planets, with surface life being very much rare and limited almost exclusively to around the small seas. Most of the animal life is simple, with a few hardened insect equivalents; however, a somewhat more complex branch has given life to the local sapients, the millirlien, despite the system's youth.

These extremophile lifeforms exhibit though, rock like armor protecting them from the harsh elements; the millirlien toke advantage of their resilience and ventured out further from the life giving waters than any other lifeforms, conquering the wilds and creating over the millennia a simple, individualistic society that has advance at much greater rate than the vast majority of other civilizations, thou. With their numbers never rising very high and scattered across a massive area, this civilization also had very few real conflicts to speak of, much like the millirlien, being more or less the dominant species of the planet, never had much in the way of competition. Around 600 CE the planet was discovered by the gibahagekh, and soon after the millilien ventured out into the greater galaxy to conquer new lands, almost completely abandoning the dusty world that gave them life. Almost all of those left are criminals and outcasts discarded on the death world to meet their end at nature's whim. Tens of millions, however, still inhabit the planet's orbit in many large habitats making sure nobody comes or goes of the surface without permission.
