Description
I'm having a lot of fun sprinkling a few melee weapons in my queue, so here's one I wrapped up. It's a post-apocalyptic breakdown spear-knife.
The knife is almost completely made of resin, and the pole is your garden-variety pvc for...well, your garden. I did a wrench guard on the dagger, and swept it forward, claymore-style. There's hemp around the guard and a thin aluminum bar buried in the resin that reinforces the blade. I tried to do a Damascus steel effect on the blade, but didn't quite hit the mark. A step in the right direction though, I think, but more to work out.
The pole has two paracord wraps, one long, one short. I was tempted to put some kind of wrist-rest or basket hilt to protect the hand, but decided it would be too clunky then. The knife can be detached and used on it's own, and if the buyer so desires...the bottom of the pole has another coupler so they could make the spear even longer (right now it's about 4 1/2 feet). Enjoy, wastelanders!
