Description For those of you keeping on the ball about the new pokemon games, you'll know they replaced Kris - the first ever female player - with Kotone/Lyra for the remake of Gold and Silver. And now you know is you didn't already!

Random observations:
Kotone's sprites have different eye colors. The small ones have blue eyes, and all the larger ones have brown.
Kris kinda looks like a Nurse Joy/Officer Jenny love baby.
Nearly every picture of Kris I found, the yellow hat looked like a kippah. Now that's all I think of.

I think I now know why they put switched Kris for Kotone/Lyra(or maybe they didn't want to blue haired chicks in a row). I mean, I love Kris(obviously), but the yellow nearly killed me! And yellow is one of my favorite colors! I tried to make it work and I think it came out OK in the end. Either way, I'm proud of myself.

I gave her a pink bag for a few reasons. The first was that there was already too much yellow, so I wasn't going to stick with that trend(the girl players always seem to have yellow bags.). And second because the main picture ref I had of her she had a dull gray-ish bag with a slight pink tint, and that was good enough for me(the image I'm talking about is from her bulbapedia page).

Anyone can use these however they'd like, but please please please! Give me credit! I put a lot of time and effort into these, it'd make me incredibly sad/mad if someone was claiming they made them.

Comments/Critique are welcome. I want to improve but please don't be too harsh; this project has left me kind of weak. lol

Also fun fact data miners found an unused Pokegear icon that resembles her. This confirms she was going to be in the remakes but got replaced by Lyra.

Sprite art I feel like sometimes is sort of a lost art, I'm always happy to see it alive and kicking.

Yellow is my least favorite color (I can't hate any color, they've all their place), but I missed Kris dearly. She started the tread of me typically picking female characters to play as, and because of my loyalty to her I can't accept Lyra (or play as her). She doesn't have the fire Kris seemed to have, Leaf I understood, she felt deserved... Lyra feels wrong.

Anyhow, I wonder if anyone has put Leaf on Mt. Silver yet... I should look into that.

I would've loved to play Kris again. When I first played HGSS I was like "Who is this person?! Where the fuck is Crys?! WHERE IS CRYS?!" I didn't like it, and I still don't! I love Kris Why Game Freak, why? You know we all love Kris (Hopefully everyone does)

I'm not trying to bash you. You asked for critique, didn't you? look at you description.

Making custom sprites makes the sprite quality a bit better than an it. It's pretty good for an edit. I like the overworld, though mainly everything else is off.

Only thing I'd improve in the cap on the backsprite. Extend it so it seems like it goes to more torwards the front of the head. It'd match the other spites better. But still, it's good~ c:
