Description I am so behind with all my HARPG stuff that the rest of the foals this season are all in one big (well quite small really) foaldump. Doesn't mean I love them any less though, because I am super excited about them all because they're all...well it's a secret. But it's big, lemme tell you. *squee* Here they are, from the chestnut to the black to the bay.

Queene went into labour early morning, February 12th, around 3am. The birth was hard, with the foal refusing to come out for over an hour. Vet was called; administered oxytocin. From there on out the foaling went relatively smoothly, as inch by inch a huge mass of chestnut was revealed. We weren't expecting that colour from such bay parents! Queene passed the placenta nicely and then proceeded to lick the colt all over. She was weary and everyone but her groom gave her space to rest and get acquainted.

The colt was quick to stand, seemingly unnerved by his difficult start in life. He can already hook his head over his dam's back, peeking over the other side with ears like a crown above his head. Speaking of monarchy, we've decided to name him Armada, after his father's nautical theme and his dam's connection to Queens, specifically Queen Elizabeth I. As you may remember from your history textbooks, the Armada was a massive navy, and dayum is this horse huge! He's almost as heavyset as a cob foal, which we're hoping he'll grow out of once he hits his growth spurt. He has the sweetest personality though, warm and friendly like you wouldn't believe. He is an absolute favourite at R&S.

Information

Name: Armada
Barn Name: Pi, Pirate
Gender: Colt
Height: Projected 16.2hh
Color: Chestnut, slightly flaxen
Eyes: Brown
Markings/Build: Blaze, sock on LH, sock RF, big doe eyes and a heart shaped forehead, built like a tank
Breed: Thoroughbred
Lineage: Quartermaster x Queene
Discipline: Flat Racing
Genes: ee/Aa
Temperament: Pi has to be the friendliest thing we've ever seen. In fantastic irony owning to his sire's hatred of the species, he's like a gigantic labrador, always at your heels or sniffing around for food, gazing up at you with an endearing expression. Maturing at over 16.2hh, he's a big greedy fellow, with a heart of gold to match his shock of orange mane. The sort of horse you could trust with a toddler, we know that if he proves to be a flop on the track we can retrain him to do anything.
For Stud/Lease: Closed, too young.

Lulu was born two weeks after Pi. Juliet told us nice and early when she was going to foal, starting to pace mid morning and finished by early evening. The resulting filly was almost entirely black, with grey patches around her eyes and nose which promised a fabulous white by the time she was a seasoned brood.

She seems listless. She takes barely any interest in the world around her, nor her mother. She's very quiet and extremely meek, usually found in the corner of her stall or between Juliet's legs. For a filly with such parents this is indeed surprising, although there is hope yet. When she hears the sound of hooves coming down the stretch on quiet mornings in the paddock her ears prick up and she gallops to the fence line, whinnying repeatedly. She's in love with racing before she even knows what it is.

Information

Name: Illuscionix
Barn Name: Lulu
Gender: Filly
Height: Projected 16hh
Color: Grey (Black base)
Eyes: Brown
Markings/Build: Blaze, sock RH, lithe and graceful when she does run, with a delicate frame and only a hint of her dam's gargantuan buttocks
Breed: Thoroughbred
Lineage: Illusionce x Juliet Nix
Discipline: Flat Racing
Genes: Ee/Aa/Gg
Temperament: Lulu likes to spend most of her time just lazing around. She is laying down whenever she's not moving, and when she's moving it's only because she's been made to. She regards the world with a bored expression and it's only the thrill of racing that really ignites her fire.
For Stud/Lease: Closed, too young.

Collie went into labour at 7pm, possibly induced by Juilet's. The foaling went smooth as silk, and out popped a gorgeous colt, making it even between the genders this season. His dam is trying to be protective of him, but the trouble is that he wants to see what's going on, though he doesn't always like it.

Born on the same day as Lulu, Nereus couldn't be much more different. He's inherited the worst parts of his parent's personalities, but the best from their conformation. Thank goodness for small mercies. Already he's bitten Nicolas and one of the grooms while his dam looked on in earnest. We don't think he's trying to be nasty, because there's none of the anger that burns behind Snake's glare, but scared of lots of things, and aggressive in his fear...We're going to have to work on this one, that's for sure.

Information

Name: Nereus
Barn Name: N/A
Gender: Colt
Height: Projected 16.3hh
Color: Bay
Eyes: Brown
Markings/Build: Stripe, socks H, has lots of growing up to do before he looks like a proper thoroughbred. He has a short back and long legs, a strong neck and a pretty head. His croup is too low for anyone's liking at the moment, however.
Breed: Thoroughbred
Lineage: Sevennauticalmiles x KhC Cold Shower
Discipline: Flat Racing
Genes: Ee/AA
Temperament: Nereus is a jumpy little devil. He doesn't like new or invasive situations, and he's highly strung like his mother, flighty like his father. He is as changing as the sea, his moods swinging dangerously quickly and without warning. Liable to bite, snap and kick out of fear when feeling threatened, please leave the handling to the experts.
For Stud/Lease: Closed, too young.
