-inhales- First place y'alllll omgggg. Perfect score..I am crying T.T

only I draw the sunken arena when you don't even have to draw it, I didn't want to seem like I was just cheating out with kai's fear

and with that title, I mean the actual process on making this drawing :') ugh.. ( nah..those were only 120+/- hours -cough- ) MEET MY freetime over the past 5 weeks ! yep, I have been slaving over this every. single. moment I had "free time " ( actual hour count was at 140 but since pc broke down trice.. eh.. 120ish ) since I am still sour about nero and kai place second to last once for a 60 hour drawing :') want effort.. HAVE IT -throws it at you- I pretty much died making this, it took so long I am pretty friggin nervous to even upload it..I HOPE YOU CAN SEE MY EFFORT. yes I lined, coloured and shaded every single different person in the audience..everything is drawn by hand ( audience took me 12 hours alone lol )

ps. Sunken arena decor is from 6 years ago x) so..yeah its not the same as in the winter show with reasons. It's at the 2013 olympics

recap story if it scares you to read: Kaira rode the same kur 6 years ago with Wiz at the olympics in the sunken arena when her fear wasn't there yet ( accident happened a few months later during twd ) and Annette just disappeared from her life. The woman who made this all possible, it saddened her greatly she never got to see it. Now, 6 years later. Kaira is moved to tears to see her applauding her at the end of her kur, a long time dream come true. She has finally seen the performance.

Story :

Music, people. It seemed all the same if she just closed her eyes. The pirouette went well even though she wasn't looking, Nero naturally knew what to do. She had practiced the kur so many times by now it was stuck in their system, yet she left enough space for them to not seeming like they were doing it on auto pilot. The stallion felt the tense in the air, the people watching and gathering for her around port royal weren't as many as she would expect in the sunken arena but she made sure the stallion felt the same energy. That energy that gets him going SO well. He feeds of the watchful eyes on him. He moved gracefully and his thundering heavy hoofs became light on their dance over the field. The sun had almost fully disappeared by now and the lights of the arena made is seem like only they stood out in the darkness. Making the faint sunlight disappear in the background.

Her eye flashed to the judges sometimes, a cranky pair of eyes which scared her sometimes. What were they thinking ? As far as she could tell it felt so much better than 6 years ago. Nero was simply amazing, powerful, controlled, nibbling on his bit softly and slime flying everywhere that was how much he was into their performance tonight. He was giving it his all and so was Kaira. Even though they had the great disadvantage of starting first and not in the same energy filled arena as the other GP riders she tried. Maybe not even for their percentage sake but purely because Annette was watching..And she wanted to make her proud.

The music stopped, and Kaira saluted. Not in the correct way for the ladies, but instead did a gentlemans salute at the end, taking her hat off as she bowed her head down to the judges. It was still quite odd to have them on the side and not at C this time. Annette looked at her hat gesture a bit riddled, she knew she wasn't supposed to salute like that.. Did it have a meaning ? It sure did, just a token of respect offered to Annette. She looked at her while saluting, she was right next to the judges herself since she just rushed to give her the food she requested for her ride. And as judge at this event as well, she was allowed to be there of course.

The sight alone of Annette applauding made Kaira tear up, she was there.. Finally she watched her perform to this music and the way she made the kur. Their dance she worked so hard on to remember her all those years ago. And she seemed proud. That was all she could ask for.
She felt something wet dripping down her cheek, everything became blurry and all of a sudden she found herself sobbing loudly in the middle of it all. The people watching, the flashes of camera lights. The commentators calling out their names once more. It had gotten too much. She was moved, cropped up emotions came right up in the most inconvient moment she could think off. She stood their frozen, her mouth covered by her hand and just a sobbing sound filled the silence that came with it.

Annette became more worried now, not just her also one of the judges shot up from his spot when he noticed not just a rider but his lady just crying in the middle. Annette made sure to help Connor through the traitorous sand and once they reached Kaira it became clear what was up. She managed to smile at them though as they lead Nero back out of the ring. Shaking now too because of performing in this cold weather 4 times with just her tailcoat she recieved Annette jacket and scarf for a moment. And before she knew it all was pretty oke again. Just the sadness of not being able to join the party in the sunken arena this time remainded..

• Nero's style is a BIG moving stallion with very fluent movements. Yet powerful and graceful. Kaira rides him with feather light hands and minimal leg cues.
• Strongest move : Passage/piaffe/extended trot weakest move : flying changes
• Nero is a BIG mover as mentioned above, he clearly feeds of the energy of the crowd. He is brave and doesn't look at anything with Kaira on board. The two are a great team with maximum trust. His hoofbeats can go from thunder and eathquaking to super light and graceful within a second.
• He is up to breed standard, quite a heavier and bulkier type of KPWN'er.
• Breeder of the horse : Ramon Ricci, owned by Kaira van Leeuwen now. ( thanks to Sejr kapital and Goldenzymes )
