Description
The Rajang is feared and respected by many for it's sheer power and bad temper; a Fanged Beast closely related to Blangonga and Congalala. Unlike it's primate brethren, Rajang are mostly solitary and nomadic, however they'll tolerate other individuals of their kind when they come into contact. Most other monsters give them a wide berth. Rajang are omnivores, eating a variety of plants and fruits, but not passing up meat when the opportunity arises. Rajang are even known to prey on Kirin; an elder dragon. They attack using a combination of raw power and speed, and while they often use their mighty fists and horns in combat, they are not limited to close quarters. Rajang can fire a powerful Electric Beam from their mouth to hit far away targets. It's recommended that only Veteran hunters dare to take on the Rajang.Monster Hunter is owned by Capcom.

Oh yeah, Apex Rajang. Never got the honor/horror of fighting one, though one DID show up during one of the early G-rank quests. I was NOT prepared for Apex monsters to show up in unstable environments.

Extremely surprised. I believe it was the first Desert Seltas quest. Even THAT did a decent amount of damage to me. Next thing I know Apex Rajang shows up. As if a normal G-rank Rajang wasn't enough for someone who just made it to G-rank.

Monster Hunter does a great job with that! And Rajang is a good example. What with Monster Hunter 1 comprising mostly of Wyvern-esque beasts, it was a great idea to introduce monsters like Rajang in MH2.

I never played Monster Hunter itself, but I do enjoy the designs that I have seen.

I love fighting this guy, he's one of the few monsters I just can't seem to "git gud" at and makes for a tense battle.
but I also have a Frieza-esque hatred for that stupid saiyan monkey...

Yeah, Rajang always keeps me on my toes! He's got that aggravating combination of Speed, strength, and agility. Not too mention he's a threat from both close and long range.

What gets me is his new ability to turn while firing his kamehameha.
I always think he's aiming at me, then end up rolling/diving INTO it because it was being aimed at someone next to me. xD

Heh, oh yeah, I know what ya mean. I usually fight solo, so it gets me when he knocks me to the ground, and does his kamehameha as I get up. If I survive, chances are I get stunned from that afterwards, so it just leaves me as a sitting duck.

Seems about right. Electobuzz seems to be partially inspired by primates in some way, so the resemblance is understandable.
