As close as we get to a t-rex these days, for which I am very grateful !!

Why so?

Would you like to see a T-rex "in the wild" (i.e., not CAREFULLY and FULLY contained ??)

That would be such an impressive animal, also I do not think it would be as much dangerous for human beings... We are too small for its regular food source unlike let's say for a tiger or lion.

You are, in all probability, correct ; but would like to be the one to DEMONSTRATE it ??     Personally, I'll pass on that !!                         : I mean, I'm afraid of them, and they've been gone for 65 million years !!

Why are you afraid of them?

Because  an adult (OR juvenile, come to that !) T-Rex makes lions, tigers, grisly bears, leopards, wolves, or ANY present-day land predator seem to be about as dangerous as a mildly annoyed earthworm !! (I'll give Sperm whales, Orcas, Great White sharks, and arcotucthus credit for having a great  "fear factor", at least for me !!)

But like I said that would mean that their interest would be bigger food source.

Nice coloration and a cool beak. What else could you want from a bird?

Well... To take a decent pic of it in flight!

I personally like to see birds on the ground, I think that when their wings are folded they are at their best in term of looks... but that just be me

I've read enough weird ass hentai to know what that eye means, you're lucky you got out without being humped by a bird

It probably didn't go for it because it saw the eyes that mean "What a beautiful skull for my collection is being wasted on some bird" XD

Great picture!

Storks are amazing animals, we got a few nests from them in my city park.

I love their slow, predator walk - I´m a  bit disturbed that they´re "hunting" the children in my region, though.

What, how they hunt children o.O

Ursumeles In reply to KingsOfEvilArt [2018-07-19 12:43:03 +0000 UTC]

Hm, 'chasing' is the better word for it, actually. Sorry for that.
But yeah, there is a large stork that regulary visits the local public annoyed, and gets regulary harassed by kindergarten-aged children, and so it slowly chases them through the grass next to the pools.
It doesn't sound that bad but I'm honestly terrified when small children are stalked by a bird that's taller then they are, and their parents do nothing.

I'm always afraid these guys are going to use that dagger beak to do something painful to me.

They're always hanging around my pet snake... Waiting for me to walk away and leave him undefended. And they like to scream at each other at 23:00
