The year is 2120, Julius Augustus third Lord-Emperor of the Terran Commonwealth rules over the closest thing Mankind has ever known to a truly united Earth as well as the colonies across the Solar System beyond. The Commonwealth was born out of an Alliance between the new governments of America, Britain, and Russia against the Chinese Hegemony during the Third World War which occurred in the mid 21st Century. Backstory aside, while a bit of my own political views are on full display here, this map shouldn’t be taken too seriously as it’s primary purpose is to serve as a sort of contrast to most unified Earth scenarios which usually involve all nations uniting under a Liberal Democracy, which in most science fiction is often built around the American System (I do believe this would be a disaster and turn the whole planet into a third world state) while here it was unified through compromise between three great Empires who created a new global order based on a Pragmatic fusion of modern and traditional institutions in order to create a system of efficiency and ensure a rapid response to any crisis which may occur wether it be a revolt, pandemic, or natural disaster. It’s not so much an ideal world nor is it a dystopia but one that simply keeps the Aerospace lines running on time.
