To those who havn't seen all of Escaflowne, sorry for the spoilers. It's my #1 favorite anime (#2 is Weiss Kreuz! ^.^). It was irritating me that hardly any of VanxHitomi art is very intimate looking, so I took it upon myself to draw something that fulfilled my desire. I mean, they're such a perfect couple. They should be together. *sniffle* T_TAnyway. I know it's sketchy. I didn't feel like inking it (as usual), so don't bug me about the line qual. And I know Van's face didn't quite com out right, but i'm very happy with the rest of it. ^_^ I had a reference for the pose, but that's it.

Haha. Even as I get older and realize how truly awful the animation and plot are sometimes, I still can't help but turn into a squealing fan-girl over those boys. XD

they *should* be together! those are the exact thoughts that made me draw my own fan art of hitomi and van a couple weeks ago. i'm so glad i found someone who sees it the same way.

AWWWW...perfect pose! The way his head is tilted down towards hers, the way hers is tilted away, so coy..and as per usual, beautiful coloring. ^_^

Kwa! Escaflowne rules and that was one of my all time favorite parts ^^ You did an excellent job *envious* I have always had such trouble with drawing the art style of Escaflowne. Anyways, I LOVE the wings

I luv Escaflowne too, but never had the chance to see the whole series on tv & now it's so frigin' hard to find the uncut dubs it's not even funny. o.O Ack, I don't think I'll ever see the end!

I really find this picture to be so very sweet and..what's the word....comforting, I think is the word I'm looking for. Yes, that's it. It just holds a very deep feeling of comfort. Very beautiful.
As for the technical things about this (lovely!) picture, I just want to say that Hitomi's face looks so soft and content. You captured it with great skill. And the glowing neclace and Van's wings are gorgeous.

You have some absolutely wonderful talent. I personally never got into Escaflowne. I mean, all in all, it beats out the majority of Gundams without a doubt. It is still weak in comparison to Eva or 0083 in my opinion.
As for the drawing, I can't find any flaws. I love this one!

I know, "guys," aren't suppose to say things like this, so keep this between you and me. I think it's a very beautiful picture. I think if I could use any single word to describe this piece, I would have to say . . . tender. The sort of gentle caring between the two is very apparent. It's like they couldn't give a crap if the entire world fell apart around them. They'd just stay in that pose. It's so sweet. (Sniff.)
