Oh my gosh! Yes there's a show! The first season has 52 episodes. I'm not sure how many episodes are in the second season, only the first 10 have made it to fansub so far. The series is awesome. That's where my Mermaid Melody cosplay costume came from! Check it out if you get a chance! (the show and my costume!)

The only place I know of is E-bay and conventions. I found a really cute puzzle at a convention. I also have some trading cards that I bought at a little country pizza place when I was in Japan.

What's the show like?And what's fansub?

It's a really cute magical girl anime about a mermaid living on land. She is battling evil forces from the sea and at the same time, she is falling in love with a human. The tough part is that she can't confess her love to the boy she likes or she will turn into bubbles! It's a very cute series.
Fansub is when fans who are fluent in japanese subtitle a series that has yet to be licensed for release in the U.S. Then, that series can be downloaded by other fans for viewing. Fansub is what allows us to see anime from Japan that won't show up here in America for several years and be able to understand what's going on (via subtitles - subs). I hope that helps...

I wasn't all that interested in the show either, then I watched it. I was immediately hooked...mainly on the love story part of it. The manga was just released in America...that would be a cheap way to check it out! Thanks for the comment!
